Inspectors are mentioned throughout this website, but what do they do?
Inspectors visit the school to check that you are being looked after properly. They will speak to children when they visit. You can tell them any worries or good things about your school, and about anything you think should be changed. You can read the report inspectors have written about your school. You can ask staff for a copy.
Inspectors work for the Commission for Social Care Inspections (CSCI). They are from social services departments, education departments, or any of the people who run schools. Their job is to check that children and young people are being looked after properly. The CSCI believes in doing the best for children and young people, and in checking that schools are doing that too.
